The Advantages of PROpane Express

PROpane Express makes having propane cylinders for your grill, firepit, portable generator, insect trap, or other outdoor propane appliances easy as pie.

  1. Just go into the store and ask the clerk or manager for assistance with the cylinder exchange.
  2. After your exchange or purchase is rung up, they’ll meet you outside.
  3. If you’re exchanging cylinders, at this point, you can bring your empty tank over to the cylinder storage cage. They’ll take your empty tank, give you a full one, and you’re on your way in a matter of minutes!

What is a “Certified” or “Re-Certified” Propane Cylinder?

Did you know that your propane cylinder needs to be certified for it to be refilled? They are only certified for 12 years after they are manufactured. Check the collar of your propane cylinder. The month and year of manufacture are stamped there. If it reads “6-12,” your cylinder was manufactured in June of 2012.

If your cylinder is more than 12 years old, it is your responsibility to get it recertified. No propane cylinder refiller will fill up a cylinder with an expired certification. If your cylinder can’t be recertified because it’s not safe, you’ll have to buy a new one.

You don’t have to worry about the certification or condition of your propane cylinder when you use PROpane Express! That’s because all our cylinders are ensured to be certified or recertified. We also carefully inspect our cylinders for rust, dents, or any damage and clean them before refilling them and sending them to your local exchange station.
