West Virginia LIHEAP

In addition to the state-level programs, there is also assistance at other organizations and at more local levels, including:

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, Pennsylvania’s LIHEAP has set up a Recovery Crisis Program to help people whose ability to pay their heating costs has been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ohio also offers assistance to those who need help with cooling costs during the summer. If you need help navigating the process of getting LIHEAP assistance, ProGas can provide support and answer questions.

Improve efficiency and quality, and expand your business!

restaurant propane pennsylvaniaRunning a restaurant can be fun. It also presents challenges.

There’s lots of competition here in greater Pittsburgh, whether you’re making comfort food or fine dining. Attracting and keeping customers is paramount.

Choosing how to power your restaurant’s kitchen so that you can make the most of your business can seem like a challenge. But when you look at how propane works for your business, it’s challenge over!

We have five reasons why you should look to propane from ProGas to fuel your restaurant.

A better product

You’ve invested a lot in your restaurant kitchen: skilled chefs, good equipment and quality ingredients. Propane lets you make the most of all of that. The food your restaurant serves will be enhanced by your chefs being able to use precise and instant temperature control.

Propane isn’t just for your restaurant’s cooktop. Several kinds of commercial kitchen equipment can be run on propane or be converted to run on propane. With propane, you get the BTU your salamander broiler needs to cook those beautiful steaks and chops and perfectly melt a cheese topping. Pizza ovens, steam tables, buffets, deep fryers and other appliances can run on propane.

Propane is one of the most highly regulated energy sources around, and has a safety record to go with it. The propane industry also has incredibly stringent standards when it comes to propane tanks, installation, maintenance and inspection.

Outdoor options

If you have some space outside you’ve been looking at for outdoor dining, or you want to have outdoor dining more often, propane can do that! Propane-powered patio and deck heaters, fire pits and hearth provide comfort and warmth. Propane can also run outdoor lighting with a warm glow.

Restaurants like yours need to be open when they’re supposed to be open. With propane, not even a power outage can keep your doors closed. A propane standby generator will not only keep the lights on, but run the refrigeration to keep all of your food cold or frozen.

Green Fuel

Propane is one of the cleanest-burning fossil fuels and is not classified as a greenhouse gas. In fact, it is named as an alternative fuel in both the 1990 Clean Air Act and the National Energy Policy of 1992. If you’re a chef whose recipes and menus are organically-based, you’ll be using a fuel that you know is responsible for our planet as well – something that can’t be said by using natural gas.

ProGas can easily handle a new propane tank installation for your restaurant, then keep you fuels for seasons to come with our bulk propane delivery. Contact us today to learn more about what else we can do for you!

ProGas can help you keep your worksite warm and the work going

winter construction heating pennsylvaniaIf you’re in the construction business in greater Pittsburgh, you know winter weather can be a bear.

Snowstorms can delay projects. Bitter cold can slow jobs like drywall and painting, and keep some jobs like pouring concrete from being done. All of that lost time is also lost money for your workers and for your business.

We may not be able to do anything about snowstorms, but the professionals at ProGas can help you beat the cold and the challenges it brings to your construction projects by providing temporary heating and other heating options for your construction site!

We have decades of experience working for the area’s leading building, contracting and service companies, so we know how to meet your needs.

Bring the heat to your construction sites

ProGas has several temporary heating products to provide solutions to the problems winter’s cold can throw at your construction projects.

A popular one is portable temporary construction heaters. These can not only keep your workers working in warmth and safety, the heaters also protect materials and help get projects done. With temporary heating, paint will cure properly, joint compound and spackle will adhere to drywall as it should, and concrete and drywall will be kept dry. Temporary heating also protects pipes, often exposed during construction and renovation projects, from freezing and bursting.

Our ground thaw units will help keep any concrete work you’re doing moving forward as they thaw the ground so you can excavate, prevent frost from forming on the ground, cure the concrete and warm the air around it so your workers can do their jobs.

ProGas also equipment like fans and dehumidifiers, and all the necessary equipment for temporary heating such as carts and hoses.

Don’t forget the propane!

ProGas is a leader in the greater Pittsburgh area and surrounding communities in Ohio and West Virginia when it comes to reliability in providing propane that area businesses need. We can do bulk propane, design propane dispensing stations (complete with propane tanks) and provide on-site forklift propane cylinder exchanges.

If you are a builder or contractor and have some projects coming up this winter, get a head start now and contact ProGas so we can meet your needs when it comes to temporary heating at your construction site!
