Good for your bottom line, good for the planet!

school bus fleet autogasManaging the fuel needs of your business’s, town’s or school district’s fleet vehicles can seem like a full-time job sometimes, and in many cases, it is.

ProGas is here to help! We offer a great fleet fueling solution with propane autogas.

What is Autogas, and how is it different?

Autogas is liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for combustion engines in vehicles and generators. Because autogas burns so clean, it produces much fewer emissions than engines run on traditional gasoline or diesel — 20% less carbon monoxide, 40% less nitrogen oxide, and 10% less carbon dioxide.

What fleet vehicles can use autogas?

Nearly all fleet vehicles today can be powered by autogas. School districts are turning to autogas because it reduces maintenance costs, is more efficient, and doesn’t gel in the winter. Some other kinds of vehicles autogas works for include:

  • Shuttle buses
  • Delivery vans and trucks
  • Commercial vans like those used by electricians and plumbers
  • Farm equipment
  • Municipal and first responder vehicles
  • Moving vans
  • Food service and catering trucks

Why is autogas good for my business?

Like saving money? There’s a good reason! Propane historically costs less per gallon than gasoline or diesel. Even after converting your fleet vehicles to autogas or buying new autogas vehicles, you’ll still save money thanks to lower fuel costs and reduced maintenance costs over their lifespan. Autogas also makes managing your fuel costs easier because your fleet fueling is done on-site, allowing you to easily track usage and not having to deal with receipts, reimbursement, and all the time (and paperwork) that go with them.
